Important:

If you have active services, these must be cancelled or transferred to another provider, as otherwise it will be impossible for us to carry out our service.
Inactive accounts: all information stored in our user accounts will be deleted after 60 months of a customer's last activity in our system.
Cookies: data stored from analytics cookies will be deleted 14 months after the date on which a user visited registros.com.

2.1 Personal Information

a. Registros.com will collect and store, through order, registration, and contact forms, the personal information provided by the user that is necessary for the provision, administration, and management of the Services, as well as to comply with applicable contractual and regulatory obligations. These Services include domain name registration, trustee services, SSL certificates, hosting services, and others. Additionally, this data may be used to respond to user inquiries.

b. This data will be used exclusively by Registros.com for the purpose established by the Customers, whether for the management of user accounts or the Products and Services purchased by them.

c. The personal data stored for the aforementioned purpose includes the following:

First and last name.
Company name.
Address.
Phone number.
Email address.
IP addresses.
Payment information (e.g. credit card details, etc.).
In exceptional cases, Registros may require additional personal data such as national identity document or passport details in order to comply with the requirements of the Service contracted by the customer or to verify their identity.

e. Data retention and deletion:

The Customer's personal information will be stored for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected.
If a longer retention period is required due to legal or regulatory obligations, Registros.com will comply accordingly.
Once the Customer no longer has active Services, all personal data will be securely and permanently deleted from Registros.com's systems after 60 months from the expiry and/or cancellation date of the Customer's last active Service, unless the law requires a longer retention period.

2.2 Usage Data

a. Additionally, Registros.com will collect information from all users who visit the pages that make up the Registros.com website. This will be done through statistical tracking systems and the storage of session control data (Cookies), for which the user's consent will always be sought in accordance with applicable data protection laws. b. The remaining data collected (e.g. browsing data) will be used to analyze and improve the performance of the Registros.com website and to monitor the performance of marketing campaigns and associated advertising activities.

(ii) Registros.com Service Providers: Registros.com engages external service providers to carry out its business operations, including, without limitation: Web Hosting, payment authorization and processing, accounting and administrative tasks, data storage, order management, and return processing.
In all cases, Service providers must contractually commit in writing to providing a level of data privacy protection that meets or exceeds the standards set out in this Privacy Policy.
(iii) Compliance with domain registration requirements (WHOIS database): In accordance with the rules of ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers), the organization responsible for managing the domain name system, as well as other domain registration policy entities, Registros.com is required to disclose the registrant information of registered domain names. This information includes:
- Full name of the registrant.
- Address.
- Email address.
- Phone number.
- Domain registration and expiry dates.

4.1 Security Measures

a. Registros.com will take reasonable measures in accordance with current industry standards to protect the information of its Customers and Users through the use of physical and electronic security measures. However, the Customer should note that while we strive to protect our systems, no system is completely immune to security threats. For this reason, we recommend that you use antivirus software, firewalls, and other precautions to protect yourself from threats to your data security and privacy.

At Registros.com, we recognize the importance of protecting your personal information. Therefore, we implement the following security measures:

TLS encryption (Transport Layer Security): We use TLS encryption to protect data transmission, ensuring secure communication between users and our website.
Multi-factor authentication (MFA): All systems with access to our users' personal data are protected by multi-factor authentication systems, i.e. with at least two verification factors (e.g. password and mobile device verification) in order to prevent any unauthorized access or theft.

Additionally, affected users will be informed within seven (7) business days, unless legal or investigative considerations prevent immediate disclosure. The notification will include:

Additional recommendations to users on how to protect their data.

5. User rights regarding data processing

5.1 Right of access and rectification

a. The user may access and modify all personal data stored by Registros.com by logging in securely to their User Account, through the sections "My Details" or "Domain Contacts", in the case of personal data associated with a domain name registration.

These rights are guaranteed in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

5.2 Right to erasure (right to be forgotten)

a. Data erasure requests: Users may at any time request the deletion of their personal data from Registros.com, except for data that must be retained for legal or regulatory reasons.

b. Consequences of data erasure requests: Users understand that submitting a data erasure request will result in the cancellation of any active services that require the use of personal data. Upon receipt of the request, Registros.com will permanently delete the user's data within a maximum period of seven (7) business days.

Important: Registros.com may need to retain certain personal data, such as billing records or compliance-related information, for a period required by law, even after an erasure request has been submitted.

c. Automatic data deletion policy: User account data will be automatically deleted after 60 months of inactivity, unless there are legal requirements obligating its retention. Data stored through cookies will be deleted 14 months after the user's last visit to Registros.com.

c. Processing timeframe: Registros.com will process the request without undue delay and within a maximum period of seven (7) business days from the date of receipt. The data will be provided in a structured, commonly used format (e.g. CSV or XLS).

6. Minors Policy

a. The Registros.com website and the Services offered through it are designed for businesses and adult users. Registros.com will not intentionally collect personal information from or about users under the age of 13.

Important: Registration in our system and the purchase or use of our Services by persons under 18 years of age is expressly prohibited, in accordance with the provisions of our Terms and Conditions.

Upon completion of the relevant verification, Registros.com will immediately delete the child's data from our systems in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

7. International Data Transfers

Furthermore, users and Customers authorize Registros.com to transfer, process, store, and use their information in other countries in accordance with this Privacy Policy and for the purpose of providing the Services requested and purchased by the Customer.

Registros.com guarantees that all international data transfers comply with applicable data protection laws, including the implementation of appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), where necessary.

b. Furthermore, in accordance with the circumstances described in section 3.2.a (points iii and iv) and in order to comply with current regulations relating to domain name registration issued by ICANN, Customers authorize the transfer of their data to third countries in the case of domain registrations whose extension (e.g. ".cl", ".ar", etc.) is administered and managed by an authority located in a country other than the USA and the Customer's country of residence.

Important notice: When requesting the registration of a domain name managed by a foreign registry, the Customer understands and accepts that the data protection laws of that country may offer a lower level of protection than that of their country of residence.

c. Registros.com may also transfer personal data of its users and/or Customers if the company participates in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or any other form of corporate restructuring.
